Network Performance and Monitoring Workshop

This year, the Network Performance and Monitoring workshop will be held in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. The focus will be on hands-on experience in network performance measurement, evaluation and results interpretation. The Performance Measurement Platform (PMP) will be used for this purpose with distributed perfSONAR nodes installed in almost all European countries performing measurements towards 5 measurement points located in the GÉANT network. 

The workshop will provide practical examples and guidance to make the most out of a PMP node or perfSONAR deployment. Participants will learn how to create their own network performance measurement mesh and dashboard and find out about advanced features that such a multi-domain monitoring platform can provide, all by learning how to use the perfSONAR user interface and its lookup service.

As this year marks the official 20th anniversary of the perfSONAR project, there will be something to celebrate.

Being a hands-on workshop, on-site participation is preferred. Having access to a perfSONAR machine or to your organisation's PMP node will greatly enhance your experience.
