This BoF will explore the GEANT framework for public procurement of optical networking equipment. It is targeted at NREN procurement specialists and network engineers who are building new optical network infrastructure. While the framework has been in place for a couple of years and has been successfully used by many NRENs, challenges still exist when applying procurement frameworks to individual NREN needs. This BoF will include GEANT speakers who will explain the framework and how GEANT used it to achieve our network build. The BoF will also include presentations from CESNET and UNINETT on how they have recently made use of the framework.
