Description

The attendance at the webinars is open to all GN 4-3 participants and may be of special interest if you plan to deliver a talk/presentation at the TNC21; however, it will be of benefit to anyone who would like to brush up on communication/presentation/public speaking skills.

In addition to these live online sessions - please visit (at any time) GÉANT eAcademy https://e-academy.geant.org/moodle/ to access supporting materials – “Anatomy of the brilliant speech” and “From Boring to Brilliant” (Log in using SSO or social media. Log in is located in the top left hand corner. The supporting materials can be found in “All courses/Professional competencies”).

Once the webinars registration is complete we will send you joining (zoom) instructions.

Please note that these are live online sessions, the sessions will NOT be recorded.

  How to Communicate Your Message with Impact 1h 30m
  
  In this 90 minute masterclass, you will learn about the key elements of delivering a strong presentation and tips to engage your audience virtually, from beginning to end. You will learn how to add anecdotes or stories to make it more interesting and that they will remember you. There will be time for you to practice certain parts of your presentation like your Opening WOW statement, your CALL TO ACTION or Closing WOW-microphone drop statement with feedback from Coach Barbara and the group. You will walk away with a clear structure that will help you prepare a brilliant presentation or pitch every time.

  “Leading the Way - Facilitating a Discussion or Panel” 1h 30m
  
  When you are leading a discussion or are a panel host, you have to be conscious of more things than if you are just a presenter. In this 90 minute masterclass, Barbara will share tips on how to structure it efficiently, how to “take care” of the people in the discussion/panel that they are recognized, respected and heard and that those listening stay engaged throughout. How do you steer the discussion if there are strong personalities present and enable all persons to express themselves and keep the discussion moving? The “live” versus “virtual” delivery also require extra attention and will be discussed in this presentation. There will be time for Q&A to ask questions or share experiences of the Do’s and Don’ts of facilitation.
