In the CNaaS Infoshare in 2020 (https://events.geant.org/e/cnaas/), we saw how several European NRENs have started offering Campus Network Management as a Service (CNaaS) to their connected institutions.

This Infoshare will include presentations of tools that some NRENs are using to offer the service, for monitoring, configuration management, etc.

      NMaaS: Network Monitoring as a Service 20m

      NMaaS is a service developed and maintained by the GÉANT Project. NMaaS is offered to all members of the GÉANT community including NRENs, end Institutions, research projects and individuals with the indent to ease local network monitoring and management by moving the NMS installation to a secure NMaaS cloud.
      This session will cover a brief introduction to selected aspects of the Network Management as a Service and a live demonstration of NMaaS Portal.

      NMS: Network Automation for Campus Networks 20m

      Presentation of the network automation software for campus networks developed at SUNET called CNaaS-NMS. The NMS is open source, has multi- vendor support and includes features for doing zero-touch provisioning, configuration management and firmware upgrades.       Argus Aggregated Alerting System for Campus Network Management as a Service in UNINETT 20m

      By deploying Campus Networks as a Service, the existing plethora of network and service monitoring tools multiplies with every new customer. For this purpose, Uninett built Argus: A tool for consolidating incidents across network management systems, and for managing NOC notification profiles in a single interface. This talk presents our progress with Argus thus far, and some of the issues we've run across on the way.
