Description

This infoshare will present the findings of the GN5-2 WP6 Task 1 Incubator project "Long-haul White Rabbit Time Service". The project evaluated the deployment of high-accuracy time service using White Rabbit technology, sharing the same long-haul fibres as existing optical DWDM networks.

During the Infoshare, different solutions for WR bidirectional transmission will be presented, together with results from evaluations in the lab and a field-trial on GÉANT's Prague - Vienna link. We will conclude with a cost-benefit analysis and recommendations to guide NRENs in selecting the most effective architecture for their synchronisation needs.

The Infoshare will be recorded.
