Education preparatory meeting for the CTO workshop 2025 (hybrid)

The objective of this meeting is to establish a shared understanding of the role that National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and GÉANT play in supporting an interoperable European digital educational ecosystem. Participants will explore the current policy, political, and technological landscape shaping digital education in Europe, including the Higher Education Interoperable Framework (HEIF), the European Digital Education Hub (EDEH), University Alliances (UAs), and learner journey use cases. The meeting will also provide an opportunity to share findings from the NRENs4Education initiative, which maps national-level activities and identifies areas where collaboration across NRENs and GÉANT can accelerate collective impact. Additionally, the session will present and discuss the draft GÉANT Educational Roadmap, outlining short-, mid-, and long-term priorities with the goal of gathering feedback from NREN representatives ahead of the upcoming CTO Workshop.
