Infoshare: Software Licences Management in GÉANT, 11 October 2023

Brief summary

This infoshare will help you manage software projects, licensing and privacy in GÉANT. You will learn how to scan your codebase for open source components and licences, resolve licence conflicts and obligations, choose an appropriate license for your project, and automate licence management. You will also learn about the GÉANT IPR policy and recommendations and how to use WP9 Task 2 services to support your software governance. Moreover, you will get an update on privacy management in GÉANT. WP9 SCA and SLA services assist GÉANT software teams in ensuring licence compatibility and security of software components, selecting licences, and verifying compliance. The participants will learn how to use these services, and will be updated on the GÉANT approaches to IPR, licensing and privacy.

Who should attend?

This infoshare is primarily designed for GN5-1 WP4, WP5 and WP6 software developers (especially software team leaders and senior developers), but all interested GÉANT participants are welcome.

The infoshare will be hosted on zoom. Details of the zoom link will be distributed to all registered participants.
