Automating the Campus Network with NSO

Description
The University of Michigan has a network of over 4000 switches and routers with dozens of different platforms and device types. This scale and heterogeneity pose a serious challenge when it comes to programmatically pushing network device configurations. We settled on using Cisco NSO (Network Service Orchestrator) as a platform and are in the early stages of productionizing its usage. We will cover why we selected NSO, how we are using it, and our experiences so far.
