 w GÉANT selected Nomios in mid-2023 to replace its Juniper-based internat
 ional IP backbone with new Nokia nodes. He’ll briefly introduce who Nomi
 os is and explain which Nokia equipment was chosen for this large-scale pr
 oject.\nHe’ll also cover why the combination of Nomios and Nokia was sel
 ected\, how the migration has been planned together with GÉANT\, and wher
 e we currently stand in the rollout. Expect a clear overview of the projec
 t’s scope\, progress\, and what’s next.\n \nAbout Michel Geensen\n \
 n\nMichel has been active in the network architecture world since early 2
 000. In September 2021 Michel started at Nomios Netherlands as a solutio
 n lead for the Telecommunications and ISP sector. In this role he was tech
 nically leading the Telecommunications and ISP team and helping with their
  network and security related challenges.\n \nIn November 2022 his role c
 hanged\, and he became the customer facing CTO for customers that Nomios s
 erves in the Netherlands for several industries such as education. \n \n
