Future Talent Programme FTP26
The Future Talent Programme, (FTP) connects future talent with the GÉANT community and provides a platform for young voices. Participants are nominated by GÉANT project partners and receive professional presentation training to articulate their ideas.
FTP fosters young talent and is open to early career professionals or students nominated by their GÉANT member NREN. Candidates should be studying or working in IT or Computer Networking related fields at an R&E institution within the NREN’s country or research and education network. Candidates should have no more than five years’ work experience.
The Future Talent Programme's Lightning Talk Challenge (FTP26) offers students and young professionals a fantastic opportunity to showcase their research to an international audience at GÉANT's annual TNC conference.
Participants submit proposals to present their idea as a 5-minute "Lightning Talk". FTP finalists, selected by the TNC Programme Committee, are invited to present at TNC26(8 - 12 June 2026 in Helsinki, Finland) with their travel expenses covered.*
Bring your bright ideas to TNC26!
