Description

[Registration will be closed at March 24, 2026]

Share the latest insights and experiences on detecting DDoS attacks and defending against attacks.

This time we (tentatively) will focus on:

  • Round-table on current situation, be prepared to demo new tools or developments, if available
  • Network engineering under DDoS and resilience considerations
  • Taxonomy work: continue working on a shared taxonomy for DDoS comparability in the NREN world.
  • Data sharing in the DDoS/Network monitoring context: continue our discussions and groundwork to make sharing possible.

If you plan to do a specific demo or presentation in this context, get into contact so that we can integrate it.

This will be a small-scale on-site only workshop in Hamburg (DE). By attending you adhere to follow the Traffic Light Protocol on information sharing, with most information presented being under TLP:AMBER+STRICT, unless marked otherwise. In addition: Registration is moderated. Due to the sensitivity of the topic, we are primarily open to participation from European/related NRENs.

The start and end times of the workshop are set to make same-day travel possible for some participants.  We expect some get together to start
at 12 and the workshop behind closed doors to start sometime around 13:30, leaving room for some direct travel options on Tuesday morning. We also plan to end around lunchtime on Wednesday, making traveling back easier as well.
