DESCRIPTION:With emerging new sensing technologies and available products\
 , it becomes easier to use the optical fiber communication network as a se
 nsing network. There are several methods to enable sensing over our existi
 ng fiber infrastructure. In this Infoshare we are focusing on backscatter
 ing based on Raman\, Brillouin and Reyleigh scattering effects. We have in
 vited a few Distributed Sensing Interrogator vendors to present their solu
 tions\, the technical concept behind the equipment\, and the typical use c
 ase it has been used for. They will also describe the analyzing tools and 
 the methods used to interpret the events.The event will be recorded.\n\nht
