Relaxation at the Széchenyi Thermal Bath
- Budapest is renowned for its thermal baths, which is not only due to more than a century and a half of Turkish occupation. The healing powers of the area's springs were already known and utilized in Roman times. In the Middle Ages, various orders of knights built baths here, which were also used for medical purposes. Széchenyi Thermal Bath in City Park (Városliget) is one of the largest bath complexes in Budapest and Europe. Its hot water is provided by artesian wells drilled at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, around which the spa building combining classicist and neo-Renaissance stylistic elements was erected. Our tour through the multitude of indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and steam rooms, gives a taste of the bathing culture of the Hungarian capital.

- Wondering through the Golden Era of Budapest with the highlights of the capital's architecture and the brief history of Hungarians. An overview of Budapest, how it became the Pearl of the river Danube and one of the fastest developing cities of the 19-20th century.
