Introduction about the studies done to find a functional architecture that was flexible enough to be used as a blueprint and to map architectures to this blueprint. Presentation of the templates for each one of the attendees.

This functional blocks deals with the interaction with all internal and external actors, which can be people or software agents, customers, employees, partners, third parties, etc.We will see what tools we use for these interactions and draw them in a provided template.

In this section of the workshop we will map the tools used for the management of the information, roles and rights of internal and external actors of interest, such as persons or organisations (all related marketing, sales and billing activities).

3:10 PM Core Commerce Management

The Core Commerce Management functional block is responsible for the activities related to the provisioning of main business processes, like Product Offers and Products, Product Inventory Management, Problem Handling, Service-Level Agreement (SLA) Management, etc. The tools used for these activities will be mapped using the template.

3:30 PM Production

3:30 PM - 4:00 PM
The Production functional block is in charge of service management. Specifically, the products offered in Core Commerce Management are built using the Customer-Facing Services (CFSs), which are exposed by the Production functional block. In this section, we will dig deeper into the differences between service and product and we will analyse the tools we use for Automation, Orchestration and Virtualisation in Production.

The Technical Domains are a part of the Production functional block and define the scope of operations within an administrative boundary (the organisation itself or an external partner) or a technology boundary (services and resources exposed in that domain). As the technical domains are one of the most relevant parts of the Architecture mapping in terms of operations, we will have a whole slot to study and map the technical domains to the template.

During this section of the workshop, we will focus on the tools and processes related to big data analytics using the operational data produced by the other functional blocks.

The Decoupling and Integration block manages the separation of the rest of the functional blocks so that the boundaries between the sets of related functions represented by the functional blocks are respected. We will finalise the workshop with an analysis of the APIs and tools we use to link all the functional blocks.
