GÉANT Infoshare - Privacy Policy for the GÉANT Project

Dear Project Participants and Members of Géant Community,

Following the recent update of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy for the GÉANT Project, a natural next step is the preparation of a new Privacy Policy for the GÉANT project.

With the new GN5-1 GÉANT project starting in January 2023, the timing is now ideal to introduce a new Privacy Policy. The main elements of this drafted Privacy Policy will be discussed in this GÉANT Infoshare on 18 January from 14.00 CET to 15.00 CET – the meeting will be online on ZOOM (ZOOM details will be provided to the registered participants).  

The introduction will be provided by Erik Huizer – Géant’s CEO.

The infoshare will be presented by Magdalena Rzaca – Géant’s GDPR & IPR legal advisor and the agenda will consist of:

• Why we need a privacy policy?
• What is a privacy policy (and why it is different from privacy notice)?
• What will be the process for drafting of the privacy policy for the project?
• Elements of privacy policy for the project;

There will be also survey shared at the end of the infoshare.
